HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!

You are everything good in this world. 

You are kind - curious - sensitive - silly - emotional - creative.

This year has been wild - nearly a year ago, Covid began and thus we were thrown in the midst of a pandemic. 1st grade was cut short in school / basketball cancelled / camp cancelled / playdates cancelled. The list goes on - but, like the rockstar you are, you adapted quite well. We are so proud of you. You are doing great in 2nd grade and love being back in school 5 days a week - you rarely complain about wearing the mask (except when it fogs up your classes). 

Here are eight GREAT things about you!!!

1. You are so, so gorgeous. You have the most unique sense of style that is often copied by your peers. You have been sporting the coolest pair of gold sneakers and a gold jacket. When you played flag football, you wore gold cleats! You love having a sleek haircut. Your red glasses are so much fun. You are tall, lean and strong. 

2. You are brilliant. You struggled a bit with online learning. You love your teacher but it was hard to sit at a desk all day in the basement. Now that we are back in school full time, you're doing much better. Your reading, writing and math have come so far. I'm so proud of you!!

3. You are a foodie! For your birthday last night, you chose Dim Sung Factory soup dumplings! You like sweets but really love savory - you'll eat an omelet for every meal. You love Italian food, Chinese food, burritos - you just like trying new food. SO cool.

4. Your favorite things include: playing on the switch (Fortnite), playing on Xbox, talking on the phone to anyone and everyone of your friends, playing sports (basketball, soccer, flag football, baseball), riding your bike, listening to music, making up random names for people (Bob Gowden, Dana, etc), board games, doing flips, swimming, having a catch, going to the movies, having a sleepover at your cousin's houses. 

5. You are the most amazing sibling. Sometimes you really blow me away with your kindness. You and Layla have an incredible bond. Though you argue like many siblings, your friendship is beyond beautiful. And with Miles?? You are a dream. Always willing to help - but mostly to chase / jump / tackle. I love watching the two of you play. Both Layla & Miles want your attention all the time.

6. You are obsessed with Adopt Me / Fortnite / VBucks / Robucks. You love playing with the boys on the street - random games. You love sleepovers and anyone's house (last summer, you spent nearly 3 weeks down the shore with Aunt Kim!) - you'll be starting sleepaway camp this summer and you'll love it. 

7. We love you so much Benjamin Sawyer. You are the funniest, most amazing little man and you will change the world with your beautiful attitude. We can't wait to celebrate you tomorrow at your mobile video game truck party!! Even though it's Covid, we're going to make the best of it.
