First and foremost, my deepest apologies for not writing to you monthly. I tried, I really did... but like the saying goes, the last baby gets the short end of the stick when it comes to memories ;) However....though you may be number 3 in birth order, you're currently NUMBER 1 in the house. We ALL fight for your love, your time, your attention, your sloppy kisses and sweet hugs.

I'm already 3 days late in writing this -partially because work is busy but more so because I just can't believe you're no longer two. You are amazing. Independent. Loving. Sweet. Curious. FUNNY. Just so full of love.
Your language is EXPLODING - you've always been a great talker but now you can really express what you want or how you are feeling.

Layla is obsessed with you in ways I don't even comprehend. She is calm and patient and loves being your second mama. Short of changing your diapers, she does it all.
Benny is equally obsessed with you - the two of you have a very funny, special relationship. You both make each other laugh so hard. You get very annoyed by Benny and I often hear you yelling "BENNYYYYYYYYYYY" when he isn't doing something you want.
Your favorite people are your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, friends, and immediate family. You just love everyone so fiercly.
You LOVE school - though lately you've been sobbing at drop off, I think your days are spent loving all the sweet moments with your friends and 3 teachers. You play, you explore, you eat all the food and take great naps in the afternoon.
Your actual birthday started off with playing and cuddling with Grandma - singing by your whole family - tons of messages sent by everyone that loves you - and ending with dinner outside at MaGerks.
Tomorrow, we have your TWO parties!! We will spend the morning with 6 of your school friends - bouncing and eating and playing outside. You'll take a nap, then wake up to your family and friends coming to celebrate YOU! The theme is Monsters Inc and I can't wait!
This past year have been strange. A pandemic started when you were just shy of 1 and while life is slowly getting back to normal thanks to vaccines, we are still on alert. You've gone from life at home with your family, life at home with Miss Kristen, life at school - and you've really been lovely through it all. Next up, we need to get you to wear a mask - tricky but true.
I am so excited for this next year for you - you'll go to camp (same place as school), you'll travel to Florida, you'll potty train (uhhhhhh) and all the fun things that come with being TWO.
