MYMY TURNS 4 MONTHS!

4 month stats:
Weight: LARGE AND IN CHARGE! I'll find out your weight tomorrow.
Height: No idea.
Eating: Exclusively breastfeeding every 2 hours.
Clothes: 6 months fit you best.
Diaper: Size 2 (But almost ready for size 3)

My littlest love...

I know I'm 8 days late in writing this. In the midst of school starting, you not sleeping (like, ever) and work, I haven't had the chance to write but believe me - you're always on my mind!!

You are the sweetest, warmest little bundle of squish that we all can't get enough of. This has been a big month for you - a trip to South Florida to attend your Great Grandma's funeral and your first time to the Outer Banks were the highlight. But you've also grown leaps and bounds (both physically and mentally!) You are REALLY noisy.. you love hearing your own voice and your giggle is just the best. You've learned to really enjoy toys - you grab them and chew and play a ton. You are on/off again with the pacifier and sucking your thumb. Poor buddy - teething has taken over. We feel a tooth popping through on the top and I think it's really put you in a lot of pain.

You sleep in our bed (still...) and to be honest, it's just not going well. Your up ALL NIGHT LONG nursing and cuddling and kicking. It's tough on both our ends. I know I need to move you to the crib but I'm just scared. I love waking up and seeing your face. When you finally open your eyes in the morning and see my face, you literally LIGHT UP. A smile spread so big it could make anyone giggle. It's the best. BUT - these nights are long. Over the weekend, you only woke up twice and I thought we had reached a great point but alas, your back to waking often. You also don't nap well... you went from sleeping ALL THE TIME to needing more daytime sleep. We're working on it and I hope to get you on a good schedule soon.

Ironically, after hating the car..you now love it and almost immediately fall asleep (which is good because now I can throw you in the car if you need a nap!)

You LOVE the bath - I can't get over it because Layla & Benny both HATED it for so long. Benny has really loved taking baths with you and I can't wait until your big enough for the two of you to take real baths together.

I can't get over how big and round you are - still my little baby but oh my, you're heavy. The cutest little squishy man.

This has been a month of change - you were coming to my office everyday but that's getting harder to do so now we have various helpers. Maddyn on Mondays, Mom-Mom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Dada & I the rest. It's tricky but we make it work!

You love a good walk in the stroller - it's really fun to take family walks together - London, the pup, loves it the most!!

In Outer Banks - you were the biggest hit of all. Your cousins ALL fought over holding you, playing with you and loving you. You seemed to like the beach. Being around family is my favorite thing in the world and it's obvious you love it too!

Being in Florida for GG's Funeral was really hard but you were so sweet and beautiful. I nursed you in a side room while the rabbi did the ceremony - it felt so full circle. Saying goodbye to our beautiful GG, 95 years old, while I fed you with tears falling.

You are starting to attempt to roll over - you've done it a couple of times but I think it's because the bed was dipping down. I have no doubt you'll start rolling over constantly soon!!!

One year ago today, I found out I was pregnant with you. I was terrified - and then, like a bright light, you entered our world and it was fate. You & I are a pair - a match made.

Thank you for being you - so go with the flow, so beautiful, so sweet. We love you so much buddy - cheers to 4 months!!

I love you, always.

Miles turns 3 months!

3 month stats:
Weight: If I had to guess, roughly 15 pounds? You're getting SO chubby. I love it.
Height: Not sure but so long!
Eating: Exclusively breastfeeding every 2-3 hours during the day & 1- 6 hours at night, depending on... well, if you want me to sleep or not ;)
Clothes: Lately, you're only wearing 3 or 3-6 month. I think we are just about done with newborn clothes :(
Diaper: Size 2

MYMY,

My big 3 month old!!!!!! I can't believe how fast it's all going. Because you're my last little baby, I'm trying HARD to enjoy every second and just soak you up. Recently, several people have commented that you've lost your "newborn" face and you're now an infant. It's so cool and so heartbreaking at the same time.

I know I've said it before - but you are the missing piece our family needed. You fit like a glove - so calm, so sweet, so smiley.

I think you're starting to teeth - which is NO fun. You chomp on your hands, your pacifier, my knuckles. My poor buddy. You don't cry much but when you do it's LOUD.

My most favorite is your smile - it literally lights up your entire face. AND THAT GIGGLE!! We realized if we say the word "Deeooh", you laugh. So we say it often. You love your dome that Aunt Kim got you - you also like the activity mat and the swing. But most of all? You love being in someone's arms (especially standing). You like your pacifier and you're getting really good at finding your thumb.

You are getting better in the car - you used to cry every time, but now mostly you sleep. Your brother & sister fight over who gets to sit next to you. Can you blame them? You're the sweet boy in the land!

You still love to snooze -- you take a solid nap in the morning, one in the afternoon and again in the evening. You eat for the last time around 8 PM and then head downstairs with Dada. This is your longest stretch of sleep (and mine too!) - the other night, you slept until 3 AM which was a MIRACLE - you're sleeping in our bed the remainder of the night and sometimes, you're up every hour to eat - other times, you'll go another 2-3 hours. I know I need to get you out of my bed so you sleep better and so do I - but I just love waking up to you.

If you're having a fussy moment, you are instantly calm once you're outside. Sometimes you'll sit with Dada on the deck and just be.

We are finally in a better schedule - prior to last week, you were with me every day at the office. This was equal parts great and hard. I always want to give you my undivided attention and it's really hard. Many afternoons, Mom-Mom came to the office to hang out with you while I worked. Starting last Monday, we have a new friend - Maddyn. She comes to the house every Monday to play with you all day - it's great! Mom-Mom & Pop-Pop watch you roughly 2 days a week and then you're with me the other 2. I'm hoping to take one day off a week to spend with you - I haven't had the chance yet but I will. I want to look into a music class with you - I think you'd love it! You also seem to LOVE the TV - booo (haha!) Benny says your favorite show is Peppa Pig.

You are really starting to love your bath! No more tears - Benny loves to sit in there with you. Once you're bigger, I have a feeling you two boys will take lots of bathes together!

You do great with tummy time and love your toys that hang off the dome!

You are my big boy - not quite as big as your big bro, Benny, but close!! You still have blue eyes which your sweet sister hope stays. You have dark hair and the softest skin ever.

You are so very loved  - the sweetest little boy. Your 8 big cousins ALL fight over who gets to hold you - who can blame them???

I love you, always.

Miles Man is 2 months old!!!

2 month stats:
Weight: 13.8 Pounds
Height: 23 Inches
Eating: Breastfeeding every 1 -3 hours. Sometimes getting 4-5 hour stretches a night.
Clothes: 3 month is fitting best.
Diaper: ALMOST not fitting in size 2 - chubby man.

My (not so teeny) Miles Man....

2 MONTHS IN A FLASH!!!!!

I'm in awe of how fast this all went. In a blink, you went from a glimmer of hope that we would one day add another baby to our family - so being HERE, with us.. this gorgeous, smiling, beautiful baby boy.

You are an extremely happy baby. Just content. You go with the flow. From 1 week old, you have been to soccer games, restaurants, movies - you just go with it. You love to be held (ideally, standing) but you're really starting to be okay in seats / playing on the floor / relaxing in bed.

You hate the car - there's no way around it. You don't like the carseat, you hate red lights and traffic - you just aren't a fan. I'm hoping as time goes on, you'll learn to love it - especially because we're going to the Outer Banks next month and it's an 8 hour car ride away - eeek!

You love the pacifier - you've grown to really do well with it, though you keep trying to find your thumb (just like your big bro!) - I'm hoping you find it soon so we can ditch the pacifiers.

We have your 2 month appointment this afternoon - a little late as you turned 2 months 9 days ago... you had your first trip to Florida and did AMAZING. The plane rides were a dream (and we had a horrible time coming back including 8 hours in the airport..) - you didn't mind. You loved Florida - you spent tons of snuggle time with your Grandma & Grandpa - and you got to meet you Great-Grandmother (GG) - she loved you so much. We had a great time and you are a trooper.

Sleep at night is... hit or miss. You go to bed around 8:00 PM and wake up when we get up (around 7:00 AM) - you do your longest stretch with Dada downstairs and wake up anywhere between 12:00 AM - 2:00 AM. Sometimes LONGER!! Then after that, you're in bed with me and wake up every 1-3 hours. It's tough but we make it work. I know I need to transfer you to the crib soon but I just love having your little face next to me.

You don't hate the bath!! You cry a bit but mostly do well - and you LOVED your first dip in the pool in Florida. Grandma's pool is SO warm so I'm not surprised.

Everyone can't believe how big you have gotten and SO fast -- it's insane, really. You nurse so well - you had your first bottle of formula the other night (just in case I can't pump for some reason) and you hated it. Oh well.. nursing all the time it is!!

Since you were 2 weeks old, you've come to the office with me everyday. I love it so much - you sleep most of the day still so it works. I put you in a wrap (the K'Tan) and you sleep most of the morning on my chest. Mom-Mom comes to the office most day for a couple of hours to hang out with you while I work. This week, you spent the whole day with Mom-Mom & Pop-Pop while I worked and did awesome. I ran there at lunch to nurse you. It was perfect. In a few weeks, you'll start going to Mom-Mom's a couple of days a week and having a nanny one day a week. I'll miss you so much.

You are just starting to grab toys (and hair and necklaces!) - you do well on your tummy and you like to play. You give amazing smiles and sometimes you giggle!!

Everyone adores you... all of your 8 cousins fight over the chance to hold you. Layla only wants to walk around with you and Benny loves to snuggle you in bed.

You are the missing puzzle piece to our family - of that, I'm sure.

Our darling boy - you are the best.
We love you.
